Aromatic Tandoori Marinade
5 ounces plain yogurt 2 tablespoons sesame or mustard oil 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice ( or bottled ) 4 garlic cloves chopped 1 inch piece fresh ginger 1/3 teaspoon chilies chopped) 1 tablespoon fresh coriander leaves chopped 4 tablespoons dried onion flakes 2 tablespoons ground almonds 1/2 teaspoon salt 4 ounces milk 2 tablespoons coriander seeds 1 tablespoon sesame seeds 1 tablespoon green cardamom seeds 1 tablespoon fennel seeds
Put yogurt, oil, lemon, garlic, ginger, chilies, leaves into blender and pulse until smooth. Add remaining items including last 4 spices, and pulse again. You will probably need more milk until mix is easy to pour. Add a little milk and check for proper consistency. Put in fridge until needed.
